Bord Gáis Energy Smart Dynamic residential marginal energy rate for the Republic of Ireland. Every 30 minutes Priicer stores (the published base rate + min(SEMOpx ROI-DA day-ahead price, €500/MWh)) × 1.09, in euro cents/kWh including 9% VAT. Negative wholesale prices pass through without a zero floor.
The base rate is 15.35 cents/kWh excluding VAT through October 8, 2026 and 17.45 cents/kWh excluding VAT from October 9, 2026. The 50 cents/kWh cap applies only to the dynamic component before VAT. This is not the full bill: annual urban/rural standing charges, the fixed PSO levy, network charges and other non-energy items are excluded. No unit-rate discount is applied.
Requires an eligible residential smart meter configured for half-hourly CTF4 readings, an online account, email and paperless billing. Bord Gáis publishes the next trading day's rates by 14:00 Irish time; the trading day runs from 23:00 to 23:00. Priicer's full-next-calendar-day cheap-hours automation is disabled because the published trading day does not yet contain tomorrow's final two half-hours.
